Iska Book Prize
The Iska Book Prize celebrates outstanding prose and hybrid manuscripts. We seek work that is irreverent, nonconforming, and experimental—manuscripts that challenge stereotypes about African writing, celebrate diverse voices, and offer nuanced stories about African immigrants and minorities. The prize is open to both emerging and established African writers worldwide.
Submission Guidelines
- Manuscript Format: Submit a completed prose or hybrid manuscript in PDF or Word (.doc/.docx) format
- Bio: Include a short writer's bio (max 150 words) in the body of your email
- Email Subject: "Iska Book Prize Submission" (This allows us to track and read all your submissions. Submissions without this subject line may be lost).
Multiple Submissions are not allowed. Send only one Manuscript. - Simultaneous Submissions: Allowed, but notify us immediately if your manuscript is accepted elsewhere.
- Language: English or translations (with permissions).
